Jericho Municipality and Jericho Gate Sign a Cooperation Agreement to Enhance Services and the Tourism Character

As part of partnership and integration efforts to serve the City of Jericho, a cooperation agreement for the year 2026 was signed today between Jericho Municipality and Jericho Gate Company. The agreement aims to organize and develop services in the Jericho Gate area in a manner that aligns with the area’s tourism character and contributes to enhancing the quality of services provided to citizens and visitors.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Governor of Jericho and Al-Aghwar, Dr. Hussein Hmaileh; the President of the Jericho Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Taysir Humaida; and the Director of the Directorate of Local Government, Engineer Fadi Al-Fityani, in addition to several members of the Municipal Council and staff from Jericho Municipality and the Jericho Gate project.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Jericho Municipality by the Mayor, Abdul Karim Sadr, and on behalf of Jericho Gate Company by its General Manager, Mohammed Al-Zma’ara.

The agreement aims to regulate mechanisms for service delivery in the Jericho Gate area in line with the specific nature of the tourism zone, contributing to improving the overall urban landscape and raising the level of services and operational infrastructure.

During the meeting, Governor of Jericho and Al-Aghwar, Dr. Hussein Hmaileh, emphasized the importance of the Jericho Gate project to the city, noting that the development of the project represents a real driver for tourism and operational investment, and contributes to supporting local development and creating job opportunities for the city’s residents.

This agreement comes within a shared vision between Jericho Municipality and Jericho Gate to strengthen institutional cooperation and support vital projects that contribute to the city’s development and the improvement of quality of life.
